One of my favorite aspects of teaching artist’s books is helping students move successfully from a stack of photographs (or a drive full of files) to a completed photographic artists’ book. Join me at the Palo Alto Art Center starting next Wednesday, October 10th, 2012 from 1:30-4:30 for 6 weeks of exploring great book structures and their uses with photographs. We’ll talk about printing photographs and paper options, how to plan the pacing and layout of the book and we’ll make several handmade books using our photos.
Class Description: Transform groups of individual photos into photo essays using handmade books! Students will learn three book structures as well as how to organize photographs to create flow and convey ideas.
